
CANON X FLOCK TOGETHER
In 2023, Canon proudly partnered with Flock Together, a unique birdwatching collective dedicated to providing a safe, open space for the POC community to step away from the urban grind and connect with nature, fostering meaningful connections. This partnership aligned Canon’s values with a cause that resonates deeply with both the brand and new, diverse audiences.
I led the social media campaign for this initiative, working closely with influencers and crafting content that authentically showcased the community’s experience with the PowerShot Zoom camera. Through thoughtful influencer selection and content that genuinely spoke to this audience, we broadened Canon's reach beyond its traditional demographic.
By prioritising inclusive storytelling, we increased engagement with a wider, more diverse audience. This initiative not only drove awareness but reinforced Canon’s commitment to inclusivity and social responsibility, strengthening the brand's reputation in meaningful new ways.

INFLUENCER COLLABORATIONS
We brought together six talented influencers for a birdwatching walk at RSPB Rainham Marshes—a perfect setting to unwind, reconnect with nature, and witness firsthand the meaningful work Flock Together does in fostering inclusivity and community in outdoor spaces.

This event allowed the influencers to capture their experiences through the lens of Canon's PowerShot ZOOM, a powerful yet pocket-sized superzoom monocular camera that perfectly complements their love for photography and nature.

SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY
In 2023, I led the social media strategy for this partnership across Canon’s central and local accounts in 32 EMEA markets, ensuring a cohesive and impactful presence. My role involved overseeing the development of comprehensive social media toolkits for local markets, including tailored strategies, messaging, high-quality assets, copy, and more, empowering each market to engage meaningfully with this inspiring initiative.

INTEGRATED CAMPAIGN PLANS
At the start of 2024, we partnered closely with Flock Together to proactively develop a comprehensive, integrated campaign proposal, aiming to build on our initial success. With a strong vision for continuing this meaningful collaboration, we crafted a proposal that showcased the impact and potential of our partnership and strategically pitched it to key business units for their support.

While funding has been a challenge, our commitment hasn’t wavered. We continue to raise internal awareness around Flock Together’s mission, advocating for the value of this partnership and actively exploring avenues for future collaboration that align with Canon’s vision.
